after five days of development training on the fjord, i have retreated to the small village of oslo to meet up with Lady Jessica to see what we can see in this great, expensive, city. we did have one horsey ride during the training which lead to the only worthwhile pictures i have taken.

the mothership has sent me back to oslo for some training. 5 days at a resort hotel with colleagues from around the world. hopefully i can get some climbing in also.

now we are starting to cook some new stuff, updates to follow. it is also time to do some planting as the hop shoots have already sprung! another mild, dry seattle winter behind us, we are ready for long, warm sunny days.

eagle vs windshield

i learned a valuable lesson yesterday: if you ever see an eagle on the side of the road picking at a coyote carcass, be sure to slow down. that eagle may just decide to take flight and slowly cross the road. it turns out these large birds of prey don't gain elevation so fast and may not clear the top of your vehicle. on the good side, after some hopping about to gather its wits, the eagle did end up flying away. i would estimate i was going around 50 mph at collision time. happy new year
