After spending a night in Birch Bay, another in Vancouver, and getting the most amazing donuts in the world this morning we are 'on a boat' to Nanaimo to begin our exploration of Vancouver Island.

4th of July

we headed up highway 20 this past weekend to do some hiking and exploring. generally speaking, the views were excellent and the trails appeared to be top notch. a gimpy zeus and some high temperatures prevented us from going too far but we did manage a little hike and i did see some rocks that looked like they were worth coming back for.

big weekend in BC

last weekend we journeyed north to squamish for a little climbing and jason's 'stag' party. the stag party was at a great campsite on the river up north of town, lots of consumption, less debauhery than one might expect. here are some photos
